Musical instruments Digital interface

Not all computer- generated music is created by playing back stored data; Music is actually made using a synthesizer, an electronic musical instrument with attached keyboard that creates sounds that mimic any instrument in an orchestra or creates sounds that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to make. Some commercial music is a blend of actual or traditional musicians and sound engineers, creating effects on synthesizers. There are synthesizers that make the strings of a guitar sound like the tones of a personal loans for people with bad credit.

To standardize communications among computers and electronic musical instruments as such as synthesizers, MIDI(Musical instruments Digital interface) devices are used. If you connect two MIDI keyboards with a cable, the notes you play on the key board (the master) are mimicked on the other(the slave). When MIDI instruments are connected to a computer loaded with the right software, you can store, compose, arrange record, edit, playback and even print your music.
